Looking for the ultimate endurance event? For the first time ever, the 10 x 10 Ultra Iron Triathlon was held in Marshall, Michigan. The race started at 6:00 am EST, June 30th and ended at 6:00 am EST July 10th, 2006. The event consiststed of 10 "Iron Distance" Triathlons in 10 days. Only one competitor, Kathy Roche-Wallace, took on the challenge and was able to complete five of the ten triathlons, setting an "un-official" world record. See results below.

The following distances are to be completed each day for 10 consecutive days.

  • 2.4 Mile Swim
  • 112 Mile Bike
  • 26.2 Mile Run

The event is set up as a “short course” for safety and monitoring. 

  • 25 Yard Lap Pool.
  • 4 Mile Out and Back Bike.
  • 1 Mile Out and Back Run.

Results:
